CTSAMVM Leadership visit to the Embassy of Uganda in Juba

The leadership of CTSAMVM visited the Embassy of Uganda in Juba last week to meet with Ambassador Brig. Gen. Ronnie Balya. As a key guarantor of the R-ARCSS, Uganda plays a pivotal role in fostering dialogue, regional cooperation, and lasting peace in South Sudan. CTSAMVM officials expressed gratitude for Uganda’s continued support and reiterated their dedication to monitoring ceasefire compliance and security arrangements.

CTSAMVM leadership met with H.E. Mr. Timo Olkkonen, the European Union Ambassador to South Sudan, to discuss the escalating security situation and grave human rights concerns across the country. Other issues discussed were CTSAMVM’s operational and financial challenges.

Meeting with Lieutenant General Mohan Subramanian, Force Commander of UNMISS. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between CTSAMVM and UNMISS to deter violence, enhance information sharing, and foster trust among signatory parties to the R-ARCSS and the South Sudanese people. Both sides emphasized the need for coordinated action to address security challenges to ensure compliance with the ceasefire agreement.
