CTSAMVM leadership visited the Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), represented by Lieutenant General Jack Agonza Bakasumba, the Chief of Joint Staff. The visit underscored the spirit of partnership and collaboration between CTSAMVM and Uganda, a key guarantor of the R-ARCSS.
Uganda’s continued contribution of skilled personnel and its steadfast commitment to regional peace efforts have been instrumental in supporting CTSAMVM’s mandate. During the engagement, CTSAMVM officials conveyed their sincere appreciation for Uganda’s sustained support and reaffirmed their commitment to working jointly with regional actors to advance ceasefire monitoring, strengthen security arrangements, and promote lasting peace in South Sudan.
