CTSAMVM’s leadership briefed H. E. Jama Hassan Khalif, the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to South Sudan, on developments in the country’s peace process during a meeting that focused on the implementation of the R-ARCSS and the ongoing work of CTSAMVM in monitoring and verifying compliance with the PCTSA.
Responding to the briefing, Amb. Khalif commended CTSAMVM for its efforts and contribution to advancing the peace process in South Sudan, recognizing the mechanism’s role in supporting the implementation of the security arrangements and promoting confidence among the parties to the peace agreement.
Amb. Khalif also reaffirmed his government’s commitment to advocating for peace in South Sudan and underscored the importance of sustained backing for the mechanism to enable it to effectively carry out its mandate and contribute to stability and the successful implementation of the R-ARCSS.
