(8/8/2023-Juba-South Sudan)-CTSAMVM Chairperson Maj Gen Hailu Gonfa, met with the Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan H.E. Ma Qiang today.
The government of the Peoples Republic of China through the Chinese Embassy in Juba continues to offer firm support to CTSAMVM both in-kind and financially.
While speaking to the Ambassador, Maj Gen Hailu thanked the government of the People’s Republic of China for their support over the years. He said that China’s government strong commitment to the support of the ongoing peace process and the implementation of the R-ARCSS is massive.
“China is one of our most reliable donors to CTSAMVM and we feel greatly honoured for that. Your in-kind, financial and political support has been incredible, not to mention your pledges on further commitment to assist with the meeting cost of aviation needs.”
H.E. Ma Qiang said that China realizes the importance of CTSAMVM in the implementation of the South Sudan Peace process. He said that the government of China will continue to support the mechanism in order to achieve its mandate fully.
